Bulk Data Entry Outputs the strength ratios for composite
elements that have failure indices requested.
Parameter |
Values |
Description |
SRCOMPS |
<YES,
NO, blank> |
- YES
- The strength ratios are output for composite elements
that have failure indices requested. (The Output formats
currently supported are: H3D, HM, OP2, PCH and
OPT).
- NO (Default), blank
- The strength ratio will not be output.

Comments
- The Strength Ratios that are output as a result of
PARAM, SRCOMPS, YES
depend on the specified Failure Theory. The following equations show the
relationship between the Failure Index and the Strength Ratio for different
Failure Theories.
- Hill Failure
Theory:
- Hoffman Failure Theory:
There is no direct relationship between the Strength Ratio and
Failure Index (refer to Composite Laminates in the User
Guide for more information). OptiStruct solves the quadratic equation to
find the strength ratio.
- Tsai-Wu Failure Theory:
There is no direct relationship between the Strength Ratio and
Failure Index. (refer to Composite Laminates in the User
Guide for more information). OptiStruct solves the quadratic equation to
find the strength ratio.
- Maximum Stress (Strain) Failure
Theory:
- Transverse Shear Failure
Theory:
- Cuntze Failure
