Bulk Data Entry Controls the activation of a faster, alternative method (FASTFR) for Modal Frequency Response Analysis.

Parameter Values Description
FASTFR <AUTO, YES, NEW or NO>
Defaults:
  1. If the parameter is not present in the model, the default is AUTO.
  2. If the parameter is present in the model with no values specified, the run will terminate with an error.
AUTO (Default)
The faster modal solution method is automatically selected based on certain criteria. If these criteria are not met, then the standard method is selected.
YES
The faster modal solution method is selected for Modal Frequency Response Analysis. If this faster method cannot be used, the standard method is selected.
NEW
The faster modal solution method for high-rank GE models is selected. If this faster method cannot be used, the standard method is selected.
NO
The faster method is not selected, and the model is run using the standard solution method.

Comments

  1. If PARAM, FASTFR,YES is specified in a Modal FRF model which does not support FASTFR, then the model is automatically switched to the standard method and a WARNING is printed in the OUT file.
