MOMENT2

Bulk Data Entry Defines a static moment by specification of a value and four grid points, which determines the direction.

Attention: Valid for Implicit and Explicit Analysis

It can also be used to define the EXCITEID field (Amplitude A) of dynamic loads in RLOAD1, RLOAD2, TLOAD1 and TLOAD2 Bulk Data Entries.

Comments

  1. The static moment applied to grid point G is: (1)
    m = M N

    Where, N is a unit vector parallel to a vector calculated from the cross product of the vectors from G1 to G2 and G3 to G4.

  2. This card is represented as a moment load in HyperMesh.
