G1, G2, G3, G4 Grid point identification numbers of connection points.

Grid points G1 through G4 must be ordered consecutively around the perimeter of the element.

  1. All interior angles must be less than 180 degrees.

  2. Shear panel elements are ignored in heat transfer analysis.
  3. PARAM,SHEARALT,YES can be used to activate an alternate formulation for CSHEAR elements which can help improve results when distorted (non-rectangular) CSHEAR elements are present in the model.
