JOINTF

I/O Options EntryOutput request. The JOINTF command can be used in the I/O Options section to request output of JOINTG Forces.

Format

JOINTF (format) = option

Definitions

Argument Options Description
format <H3D, OPTI>

Default = H3D
H3D
Results are output in Hyper3D format (.h3d file).
OPTI
Results are output in OptiStruct results format (.joint file).
option <YES, ALL, NO>

Default = ALL
YES, ALL
Force results are output for all JOINTG elements in the model.
NO
Force results are not output for JOINTG elements in the model.

Comments

  1. JOINTF output is only available in the .h3d, _impl.h3d, _expl.h3d and .joint file. It is currently supported for all solutions for which JOINTG elements are supported.
  2. JOINTF output consists of the following results:
    • JOINTG Forces
    • JOINTG Reaction Forces
    • JOINTG Viscous Forces (available if PROPERTY on PJOINTG is DAMP)
    • JOINTG Stop and Lock Status
  3. JOINTF is set to YES by default for linear static and nonlinear static analyses.
  4. JOINTF outputs are printed in their own separate labels in the H3D file, such as JOINTG Forces (1D) (s), JOINTG Reaction Forces (s), and so on.
