FE Geometry

    A part is an engineering representation of a physical part, and a part assembly is a group of part assemblies and/or parts.

Create Part Sets from Assemblies

Assemblies can be mapped to part sets using the automatic Create Part Sets tool.

Parts and part assemblies are generated based on the components within each assembly. Then they are organized into part sets to maintain the assembly structure.

To create part sets from assemblies while in a session, right-click the Assemblies folder in the Model Browser and select Create Part Sets from the context menu.

Note: You can also right-click the assemblies in the Assembly Browser and select Create Part Sets from the context menu.

To create part sets from assemblies during solver deck import, select the Create part Sets checkbox in the Solver Open Options dialog.
