Move Implicit Geometry

Translate and rotate implicit bodies.

  1. On the Implicit Modeling ribbon, select the Move Bodies tool.

Tip: To find and open a tool, press Ctrl+F. For more information, see Find and Search for Tools.
  2. Optional: For Visualization Quality, select from Low to Very High quality, which corresponds to a low to very high density of elements. A higher quality produces sharper geometry features but is more computationally intensive. When creating a complicated function, it’s recommended to work using a lower quality and then switch to a higher quality after the function is complete.
  3. Use the manipulators to translate and rotate the body.

Tip: To scale an implicit body, press S to display scaling handles on the Move Bodies tool. You can scale bodies uniformly per plane or along each axis based on which handle you select. Drag the selected handle or type a value in the edit box:

    Figure 2. Scale X
  4. Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
