Different circuit components

The following are the circuit components supported as of SimLab:

Component Icon Solution Description
MT2D MAC2D MT3D MAC3D SCAC
Voltage/Current Source Formula Source components defined by a parametric formula or value. Orientation defines the flow of current.
Voltage/Current Source Sinusoidal Sinusoidal source components defined by value inputs. Orientation defines flow of current.
Resistor, Inductor and Capacitor RLC components. Orientation does not affect the computation.
Coil Conductor and Solid Conductor FEM coupling components, orientation affects the computation.
N Solid Conductor FEM coupling components, orientation affects the computation.
Switch Square/Formula Control components, orientation affects the computation.
Diode

Semiconductor component, orientation affects the computation.

Brush Segment

The brush-segment component is a switch describing the electrical contact between a segment of the commutator segment and the brush in a D.C. machine.
Squirrel Cage

The squirrel cage component is a macro component (or sub-circuit ) that represents the electrical circuit of the machine squirrel cage.

Ground Defines the ground connection. Mandatory for a circuit definition.
