Voltage/Current Source components

The following are the circuit Voltage sources components supported as of SimLab:

Component Icon Domain Description
Voltage / Current sources formula 2D and 3D Source components defined by a parametric formula or value. Orientation defines the flow of current.
Voltage / Current sources sinusoidal 2D and 3D Sinusoidal source components defined by value inputs. Orientation defines flow of current.

Voltage/Current source formula

The voltage source formula component is used to define the voltage and input. Users are completely free to describe the waveform here. Line edit inputs can be values, parameters or parametric formulas that will be dependent on other parameters.

To establish a transient waveform calculation, the user must include in the formula the transient variables “Time” or “Angular position”.

Current Source Formula Voltage Source Formula

Voltage/Current source sinusoidal

The voltage and current source sinusoidal components are used to define the sinusoidal voltage and current inputs respectively. Users need to provide the characteristics of the sinusoidal waveform like offset, amplitude, frequency, and phase to define the waveform. Line edit inputs can be values, parameters, or parametric formulas.

Transient waveform calculation is automatically considered when creating the waveform.
