Export Coil Points
Introduction
This tool generates a point coordinate file containing the coil path of specified wire bodies. The exported CSV file provides the data required to create Non-Meshed Coil objects for MS3D, MT3D, and MAC3D solutions.
- Input bodies
Select all the mid-wire bodies of the coils as input.
- Curvature angle between points
This option refines the seed points within the curved region and disregards the smooth midpoints. It calculates the angle between each midpoint and its neighbouring points, and if this angle is below the given value, those points get excluded. A smaller curvature angle can result in a more precise approximation of the given coil but at the expense of generating more points and consequently prolonging the computational process.
- Tolerance to connect end winding
Turn on this toggle to connect the end of the two adjacent windings based on the tolerance.
