Force and Moment
This tool is used to apply force and moment loads.
Description
- Force can be applied on nodes/edges(edge nodes)/faces(face nodes).
- When applying on edges/faces, the load can be distributed among the
edge/face nodes by the following methods
- Use Shape Function - For edges, bar element shape functions are used whereas for faces, Tri/Quad element shape functions are used.
- Divide equally on all nodes - The specified force values are divided equally among the edge/face nodes.
- Node force on each node - The specified force values are assigned directly to each of the edge/face nodes.
- As a function of XYZ option is used to apply a spatially varying force and moment load. The spatial force data has to be of the format X,Y,Z,Fx,Fy,Fz,Mx,My,Mz.
- Moment can be applied on nodes alone.

- Force marker height reflects the magnitude of load on the
model.
