Enable Cutting Plane
This tool is used to cut a solid geometry or results and view the elements inside the geometry. 3D Cutting tool will be displayed as shown below. Graphic manipulator of the 3D tool is used to translate or rotate the selected bodies.
By default translation will perform based on Y-axes and rotation will perform by using X-axes or Z-axes. Click and drag the graphic manipulator to move the selected objects, or enter a value in the microdialog to move them a precise distance.
Click on the cutting plane center point will pop up a micro dialog as shown below. It will display the XYZ of the cutting plane center point. To bring the cutting plane center point to global axis, select "Align tool with global axis" option in the micro dialog. Turn on the "Enable Reposition" toggle will allow to position the cutting plane tool to the selected node/vertex/circular edge.
Cutting plane tool is enabled/disabled from the bottom toolbar. Refer the following link in detail about the Cutting Plane Options
