Min Silk Width

If silkscreen data is drawn with a thin width, it’s difficult to recognize it.

Check the wrong silkscreen on PCB. The Min Silk Width dialog contains the following sections:
  • Minimum Width: Set the minimum width of silkscreen and tolerance. Use PollEx DFM to check and find thin silkscreen than given value on PCB.
    • Tolerance: Set the tolerance value. If minimum width is 0.2 and tolerance is 0.02, a much smaller width than 0.18 will fail in PollEx DFM analysis.
    • Gerber Layer: If GEBER files are attached, use PollEx DFM to find silkscreen in GERBER layers.
    • Except Components: While checking the width of silkscreen, skip the silkscreen that belongs to a specified component group.
  • Minimum Text Size: For text silkscreen data, use PollEx DFM to find smaller height silkscreen text on specified layers.
    • Silkscreen Layer Definition: Define a silkscreen layer.
    • Reference Name Height: Define the minimum text height of a reference name.
    • Reference Name Thickness: Define the minimum text thickness of a reference name.
    • Component Text Height: Define the minimum text height of a component text.
    • Component Text Thickness: Define the minimum text thickness of a component text.
    • Board Text Height: Define the minimum text height of a board text.
    • Board Text Thickness: Define the minimum text thickness of a board text.
    • Except Special Characters: Define a specific character to exclude in a text string.
