Lock Connectors

Lock connectors upon realization, thus preventing them from being unintentionally unrealized.

Once a connector is locked, it cannot be unrealized unless it is explicitly unlocked first. This locking mechanism adds an additional layer of protection to realized connectors, reducing the risk of accidental modifications.

In the Connector Browser, right-click on the connector(s) that you wish to lock and select one of the following options from the context menu.
OptionAction
Realize and Lock Realizes the selected connector(s) and locks them. This prevents further modification until manually unlocked.
Lock Locks an already realized connector. This can be used if realization has already been performed and you want to protect the connector from being unrealized.
Unlock Unlocks a previously locked connector, allowing it to be unrealized or otherwise modified.
Note:
  • Only realized connectors can be locked. Attempting to lock an unrealized connector is not permitted.
  • Unlocking a connector must be done manually before any unrealization actions can be performed.
  • Locked connectors are visually indicated in the Connector Browser to differentiate them from editable ones. In the State column, locked realized connectors are indicated as such: .
  • Lock/Unlock is using the *CE_Lock API. See *CE_Lock for more information.
