Breakage Particle Size Distribution

You can export the size distribution of particles produced when using the Breakage model.

To export the breakage particle size distribution data:
  1. Navigate to File > Export > Breakage Particle Size Distribution.
  2. In the Breakage Particle Size Distribution dialog box, specify the following details:

    For Specify
Timestep: Specify the Time Step at which breakage should be analyzed.
Breakage Particle Select the particles that may break from the dropdown list.
Postpro Particle Select the dummy particles from the dropdown list.
Lambda: use default Specify the material parameter involved in the distribution of fines. EDEM provides an automatic estimate based on other material parameters, see Tavares and Changas 2020 in Bibliography and References.
Minimum Diameter (mm): Specify the minimum diameter in the generated PSD plot. This diameter must be smaller than the size of the smallest particle in the simulation, because the PSD in the plot reconstructs sizes lower than the smallest simulated particles.
Output file (csv): Navigate to the location to which the ,csv file should be saved.
Display Graph of Results Select the checkbox to plot a graph of the Particle Size Distribution.
Save Graph of Results (png): Click to save the graph of the Particle Size Distribution.
    Bin Options:
Select Geometry Bin: Select Geometry bins without rotation. Geometry bins with rotation are not supported.
  3. Click Export to export the breakage particle size distribution data.
