VRML Import Options
"VRML Import Options" allows the user to specify what should be imported.
- Importing based on the type of body
A VRML parth file can have Solid, Sheet and Wire. The user can choose to import either or both of solid and sheet of geometry into SimLab. Curves can be imported as separate wire body. This options are available under "Body Type".
- To import solid bodies, check "Solid".
- To import sheet bodies, check "sheet".
- To import curves, check "Wire".
- Units
User can select the unit system for length to which the model is to be imported into SimLab. For example, if the VRML part with unit for length as meter and imported into SimLab by checking the option "Millimeter", then SimLab will show 1 meter of length as 1000.
- Create Feature
If the Create Feature toggle is set to ‘1’, then attributes (information or data) will be added to the features (cylinders/cones) during import. A cylindrical face has an attribute, which will tell you the axis, center and the radius of the cylinder. Similarly a conical face has an attribute, which will tell you the axis, top center, bottom center, top radius and bottom radius of the cone.
The user might be able to see the information displayed on the output window, when he picks the cylinder or cone inside SimLab.

In addition, full cylindrical and conical faces will be divided in to two halves.
If the toggle is set to ‘0’, then no attributes will be added to the features and the faces will not be divided.
