Create Coil Profile
Introduction
This tool generates the winding coil for motor bodies based on specified dimensions. The coil profile is initially represented as a wire mesh body. Using the Export Coil Points tool, users can then convert this wire mesh into a Non-Meshed Coil representation.
This tool is mainly used for modeling distributed windings with the non-meshed coil technique, as shown in the image below:

- Number of coils
It specifies the number of coil wire bodies that need to be created. Generally, this value corresponds to the number of slots in the model.
- Angle between two stator slots
It specifies the angle between a stator slot and its adjacent slot. This input is used to determine the angle between two successive coils. Depends on motor model, the value of this angle in degrees is equal to 360 / number of slots.
- Reference plane
This is the motor’s axis-symmetric plane where the first coil body is created. The plane direction determines whether the coils are generated clockwise or counterclockwise.
