Weld
Dialog Box

This tool is used to create weld between two set of faces. The weld body will have matching nodes with input faces.
Weld root edgesThis is root of the weld region.
Offset imprinted root edgesThis option will offset the imprinted root edges on the Weld side face. This option is available for both the sides.
Weld thickness - distance to be offset
Number of element layers - number of elements required in the offsetted face.
If this option is not turned
ON, then the corresponding side face will be fully considered for weld creation. Atleast
any one of the weld sides should be given with this option turned ON.
If this option is not turned ON, the weld root edges will be extended and imprinted on to the other weld side face. If this option is turned OFF, face will created which connected the root edge and the imprinted edge.
When the gap between the weld side faces is very small, then tuurn ON this option.

If this option is turned ON, it will create solid weld with TET elements. Or else it will create shell weld with TRI elements.
Weld body nameUser can give name of the weld body to be created.
Weld multiple bodiesIf the user want to create weld with more than two bodies, then this option will be useful. Where the user can give the toe side (connected) faces from more than one body as one of the toe side with offset toggle turned off and one face should be selected from single body as other toe side with offset distance and layers as inputs.
