Create RBE
This tool is used to define Rigid Body Elements by connecting an independent node with multiple dependent nodes (Spider RBE).
Description
- RBE can be created using body / face / edge as input.
- While creating RBE using body as input, All the nodes in the body can be used for RBE creation or the Few nodes uniformly distributed option can be used to create RBE using few nodes.
- If Radius limit is given only the nodes which fall
within the specified radius (distance calculated from the center node) will
be used for RBE creation.
Radius limit - Ignore mid nodes option can be used, if RBE should be
created only with corner nodes of the elements.
Ignore mid nodes - Create separate RBE for each grouping option is used
to create separate RBE for connected entities (i.e. all the entities that
are connected will be considered as a group) so multiple RBE's will be
created for each group, or else all the entities will be connected using one
RBE.
Create separate RBE for each grouping - Center node of the Spider RBE can be created at the
following positions
- At centroid of the input entity.
- By selecting a node as the independent node.
- By selecting an arc edge, whose center will be used for creating the independent node.
- RBE cannot be created across models.
- Property needs to be assigned for RBE, where we can define the DOF of the RBE and the element type with respect to solver type.
