Main Bearing

This option is used to create Main bearing with Hex elements for the given parameters. CAD or FEM cylindrical face can be given as input to create Main Bearing.
Cylindrical Face
Radius and axis for the bearing will be calculated from the cylindrical face.
- 360 degree bearing: This will create one full 360 degree bearing.
- Number of angular divisions: Number of elements required in circumference direction of bearing.
- Number of cylindrical faces: Number of cylindrical faces required in the bearing. Number of angular divisions must be divisible by number of cylindrical faces.
- Two 180 degree bearing: This will create 2 pieces of 180 degree bearings
symmetric to bearing half plane defined.
- Number of angular divisions: Number of elements required in circumference direction of each half of bearings.
- Define bearing half plane: This is the mirror plane required to mirror and make a copy of one 180 degree bearing.
Select the desired element type. The desired mesh is obtained based on this selection.
Add bearing to the selected modelIf Add Bearing to the Selected Model option is turned ON, the newly created bearing body will be added to the selected model; Otherwise it will be created in the new model.
