In NVH modelling to reduce the solving time, actual 3D components will be represented by 1D mesh with equivalent properties. This tool will create the 1D bars with equivalent cross-sectional properties and user given material for given body. The input body can be FEM or CAD. Types of cross section supported are, solid cylinder, hollow cylinder, solid point/frustum cone (Tapered beam) and hollow frustum cone (Tapered pipe).

Minimum section length

The axial distance between two circles to consider as separate section.

Bar mesh size

Mesh size for the 1D bar elements.

Beam material

User defined materials will be listed here. User needs to choose the required material to create property.

Model

Users have option to create the 1D output mesh either in new model or make use of existing model.

Beam body name

The output mesh will be created under a sub model with the given beam body name. The output body names will be given beam body name appended with numbers.
