Min Via Spacing

Depending on usage of vias, you can define different clearances.

• Target Objects Definition: Define target vias.
  • Vias in Pattern Routing: Vias in routing pattern will be target objects.
  • Mechanical Via: Vias not connected to routing will be target objects.
• Checking
  • Clearance between Same Net’s connected Vias: If target vias are routing vias, check the clearance between vias in the same net.

    • Small Hole Size: While checking the clearance between two vias, use the clearance value with the small via hole size.
    • Large Hole Size: While checking the clearance between two vias, use the clearance value with the large via hole size.
  • Clearance between Different Net’s connected Vias: If target vias are routing vias, check the clearance between via and via in a different net.
    • Small Hole Size: While checking the clearance between two vias, use the clearance value with the small via hole size.
    • Large Hole Size: While checking the clearance between two vias, use the clearance value with the large via hole size.
