Plot Damping

Create a Damping diagram.

You need a modal rotordynamic analysis with results to complete this task.

  1. In the Project Tree, select a Modal rotordynamic analysis branch to open the Analysis Workbench.
  2. In the Analysis Workbench, click Diagrams.
  3. Select Damping diagram from the drop-down.
    The Damping diagram dialog shows the plot for between the Angular velocity vs. Damping.
  4. In the dialog, pick a point from one of the curves to see the Damping with respect to the Angular velocity in the legend.
  5. Optional: Click Save as to save the plot in image formats (.png, .bmp, .pdf)
