Workflow Guidelines

This section provides best practices and tips on how to effectively use SimSolid capabilities.

SimSolid is structural simulation that operates directly on original, unsimplified CAD assemblies, does not create a mesh, and provides results in seconds to minutes.

The workflow in SimSolid includes preprocessing, solution or solver phase, and postprocessing. The preprocessing step is a short and simple one. It involves loading the model and creating the connections. The solver portion requires turning a few knobs based on the objective of your analysis. These workflow guidelines detail the factors to consider when setting up your analysis to achieve reliable results downstream in SimSolid.
