Create Bolt for Sheet Body
This tool establishes 1D bolt connections between sheet bodies. It identifies pairs of circular edge loops based on criteria such as gap range, bolt-hole diameter range, and axis shift tolerance between the input bodies. It creates an RBE connecting the nodes of identified edge pairs between input bodies to represent the 1D bolt connection. It is supported only for mesh bodies.
- Bodies
Select all the sheet bodies as input.
- Gap between bodies
Turn on this toggle to find bolt circle pairs based on the gap between the centres of the two circles.
- Bolt hole diameter
Turn on this toggle to find the bolt circles only within the specified diameter range.
- Axis shift tolerance
It determines the allowable distance for the axis shift between bolt circles.
Note: After the successful operation, the created bolts are added to the active solution if the connected bodies are already present in the active solution.
