Analyze Gravity of the Initial Shape

Analyze the degree of sagging that the blank incurrs from its own weight on the tool.

The default tool for a gravity analysis is a bottom die.
  1. From the Tryout ribbon, click the Add operation icon.
  2. From the Add Operation dialog that appears, select Gravity.
    The Gravity operation is added to the Tryout ribbon.
  3. Click the Gravity operation.
    The default tool is displayed.

  4. Configure the tools for the Gravity operation.
    Tip: When working with surfaces, you can quickly select surfaces inside or outside an edge loop. When Inside edge loop or Outside edge loop is selected, clicking Create automatically selects the surface inside or outside the red loop indicator, significantly reducing model setup time.
    Note: The example model includes a bottom binder in addition to the default bottom die.
