Add a Flange Operation

Simulate a pad holding a blank against the bottom die of a model while a wiper die deforms the blank into the desired shape with a flange.

The default tools associated with the Flange operation include a top pad and bottom die.
  1. From the Tryout ribbon, click the Add operation icon.
  2. From the Add Operation window that appears, select the Flange.
    The Flange operation is added to the Tryout ribbon.
  3. Click the Flange operation.
    The default tools are displayed.
  4. Configure the tools for the Flange operation.
    Tip: When working with surfaces, you can quickly select surfaces inside or outside an edge loop. When Inside edge loop or Outside edge loop is selected, clicking Create automatically selects the surface inside or outside the red loop indicator, significantly reducing model setup time.
