Uniform Pressure

Uniform pressure is a constant force applied perpendicular to a surface.

It's the simplest form of pressure load and is used to simulate conditions like internal pressure in a tank or a simple load on a flat plate. For example, when you inflate a balloon, the air inside exerts uniform pressure on its inner surface.

Apply Uniform Pressure

Apply positive pressure towards a face or negative pressure outwards from a face.

  1. In the Project Tree, open the Analysis Workbench.
  2. In the workbench toolbar, click Pressure.
  3. In the modeling window, click to select specific parts on the model.
Note: Pressure can only be applied to faces.
  4. Optional: Select the Add tangent faces check box.
  5. In the drop-down menu, specify the Pressure units.
  6. In the text box, enter the desired numerical value for pressure.
  7. Click OK.
