- Available Boundary Conditions for Analyses

- Immovable Constraints
  Enforce zero translational displacements in all directions on faces, edges, vertexes, and/or spots.
- Slider Constraints
  Enforce zero displacement in normal to the surface direction on faces and areal spots.

Translational Inertia Load

Apply a uniformly distributed translational inertia load over the volumes of the parts in an assembly.

On the Project Tree, open the Analysis Workbench.
In the workbench toolbar, click (Inertia Load) > Translational inertia.
Specify where the translational inertia will be applied in one of the following ways:
- Activate the Apply to whole assembly radio button to apply to all parts in the assembly.
- Activate the Apply to selected parts radio button, then select desired parts in the modeling window.
Specify the Acceleration along the X, Y, and Z axes.
Specify the Units for the acceleration.
Click OK.
The vector representing the inertia load will appear in the model.
