Cutting Plane
Use the cutting plane tool to create derived geometry by slicing solids on a plane and defining display properties. The result of slicing is a 2D planar face.
From the results ribbon, click the cutting plane tool.
Select one of the planes in the graphics window. Use the move tool options to change the axis, orient the plane direction interactively.
By default, the cut plane is applied to all the bodies. If the “Cut plane for all bodies” option is turned off, the cutting plane is applied to the selected bodies.
Use the icon tabs in the display properties to define plot contour data, vectors, contour lines, mesh lines, and feature lines. The changes are reflected only in the current tab.
To edit the cutting plane definition and display style, double-click on a cutting plane in the Post Browser.
