Result request for EM solutions
Introduction
The Result Request function has been added for Electro Magnetic solutions:
- Magneto static 2D (MS2D)
- Magneto static 3D (MS3D)
- Magneto static integral 3D (MSIM)
- Transient Magnetic 2D (MT2D)
- Transient Magnetic 3D (MT2D)
- Magnetic AC 2D (MAC2D)
- Magnetic AC 3D (MAC3D)
- Parasitics Extraction (PE)
- Supplied Conductors AC (SCAC)
The Result Request allows the user to select the list of global quantities that he wants to postprocess in function of another parameter (position, time…).

List of Result Request for EM Solutions
By default, the predefined quantities of the motion are displayed (and cannot be modified), and the user has the choice to add or remove the other quantities. The list of these proposed quantities is in this dedicated GUI and depends on the studied solution (MS2D, MS3D, MT2D...).

Advanced Results
The Result Request Advanced Results is deactivated by default.
However, user can define it if required.
- this result request is used for computation of coil and magnet losses and to export them in H3D format.
- This can be useful when trying to couple the transient magnetic solution to a CFD computation.
- With the help of the H3D files the losses can be directly mapped to the FLOW solution, when they will be used as heat source loads.
- Options are given for extrusion and building or not the
full geometry considering the periodicity.
Sheet lamination results
The Result Request Sheet lamination results is deactivated by default.
However, user can define it if required.
- This result request is used in combination with the sheet lamination LBC.
- User has set it to TRUE for computation of iron loss results.
- In addition, user needs to select the Min and Max computation steps.
- For accurate computation of the iron loss results user needs to select the steps that comprise one electrical period (excluding the two first steps of the solution).
RMS/Max for Voltage, Current and Flux Results
- If RMS is selected:
The Current, Voltage and Magnetic Flux for all components will be in RMS format and will be named Current_Module_RMS_<Component Name>, Voltage_Module_RMS_<Component Name> and Flux_Module_RMS_<Component Name> respectively.
The contour/vector results for J and B quantities will be in RMS values as well.
- If Max is selected:
The Current, Voltage and Magnetic Flux for all components will be in Max format and will be named Current_Module_Max_<Component Name>, Voltage_Module_Max_<Component Name> and Flux_Module_Max_<Component Name> respectively.
