Battery Thermal Runaway
Introduction
A thermal runaway is an incident where one exothermal process triggers other processes, finally resulting in an uncontrollable increase in temperature. Such an event is highly undesirable in case of batteries as it can lead to destruction of the whole battery system.
Since safety is the primary concern when it comes to battery systems and their design, this solution provides the ability to model thermal runaway within battery cells as well as any propagation of this thermal event.
Include battery thermo-electric heat generation
Toggle to include an ECM model for the batteries operating under normal conditions.
Following Battery features are supported for this Battery modelling,
- Thermal Runaway
- Controller
- Gas Venting
- All other features are the same related to Battery Thermo Electric Solution
