Fatigue Solution
The fatigue solution is used to analyze the life or damage results for a component.

- The fatigue solution can be defined only for OptiStruct Linear, Non linear static and Random response solutions.
- Fatigue life computation will be performed only for the bodies for which Fatigue material parameters are defined.
- Solder fatigue option is supported only for OptiStruct Linear solutions without load cases.
- The fatigue parameters can be specified in right click > Solution parameters of the respective solution.
- The fatigue load can be defined using predefined fatigue loading types or using user defined load history tables.
- The following predefined fatigue loading types are available.
- Fully reversed

Ratio (Curve with loading ratio = 0.5)
- Fully reversed
- The fatigue solution can be exported as template and used for other solutions.

In case of fatigue on Random response solution, if the Random response solution already has results, the results will be used for fatigue computation. This helps in quickly computing fatigue results.
Procedure to compute fatigue life on Result files:
- Import linear static results file in h3d format with “Create Solution” toggle turned ON.
- Change to analysis type in Solution to “Linear Static”.
- Define Fatigue Solution with the Linear static solution, by selecting the required fatigue type.
- Define fatigue material parameters for the bodies in the solution.
- Use Fatigue Solution > Results > right click options > Update to compute fatigue results.
