Results Data in HyperView
HyperView is a complete environment to visualize, query, and process results data.
Query Data
Query entities, create or edit free body diagrams, construct multiple curves and plots from a single result file, and create and plot stress linearization.
Extract and Linearize
In version 2021, the Stress Linearization tool was renamed as Extract-Linearize and now supports both the Extract Data and Stress Linearization methods. Starting in version 2022.2, Strain Linearization will also be supported.

  HyperView is a complete environment to visualize, query, and process results data.
  - Working with Models
    Open animation files, measure various distances and angles between entities, and use the Results Browser to view the model structure and find, display, and edit entities.
  - Animate and Visualize Results
    Create section cuts and explore the various result plotting tools.
  - Create Entities
    Create and edit user-defined data type expressions, derived load cases, and systems. You can also plot a forming limit diagram, generate streamlines, track entities during animation, and create and import/export sets of entities.

    Query entities, create or edit free body diagrams, construct multiple curves and plots from a single result file, and create and plot stress linearization.
    - Live Query in Idle Mode
      Query and view key information about selected entities live when in idle mode.

      - Stress Linearization
        Stress linearization, a widely used procedure in the Oil and Gas and ship-building industries, is used to analyze stresses in a structure, such as a pressure vessel.
      - Strain Linearization
        Starting in version 2022.2, linearization of strains is also supported. This method works the same as Stress Linearization except that it is based on strains.
    - Hotspot Finder
      Use the Hotspot Finder tool to find critical regions of your model based on a plotted result, filter the entities based on selection set, threshold values, minimum separation, and load cases. In addition, you can plot the search results with annotations and selective amount of details displayed on screen.
    - Quick Hotspot Tool
      The Quick Hotspot tool helps you find the entity with the highest or lowest result value, or both, in a given selection and display this information in a Note.
  - Annotate Models
    Annotate animation files using notes or trace various entities during animation.
  - Transform Models
    Define planes of symmetry/axisymmetry or explode a model.
  - Overlay Images/Videos
    Select and overlay images or videos in the modeling window for correlation and presentation purposes.
  - Rendering Models
    Select a graphics rendering mode and change the appearance of materials.

Access the Context Menu

From the Extract-Linearize tab, right-click anywhere within the Path table/list.
The context menu is displayed.

Click on one of the available options.


Select All	Selects all of the Paths in the table/list.
Rename	Renames the selected Path label. Applicable to one line at a time.
