Road Tools (Dialog/Utility)

The Road Tools create a graphic representation of a road property file which you can use to visualize the road surface in MotionView and HyperView.

The Road Tools support all the road property files covered under the Altair Road Library.

Altair Road Library

The Altair Road Library is a comprehensive collection of road types that the MotionSolve interface supports irrespective of the Tire model type used in the model. Different types of obstacles, road interpolation algorithms and other features are supported via the Altair Road Library.

A few of the prominent road types covered under Altair Roads are:

2D Roads
CRG or Curved Regular Grid
PCD [Point Cloud Data]
3D Spline Road
