EDEM Analyst
EDEM Analyst is the post-processor used to analyze and visualize the results of your simulation.
Analyst Tree-Display
Analyst Tree-Display allows you to configure the display of your model in the Viewer. You can visualize Cylindrical Periodic Boundary conditions from the Geometries section.
Display the Particles Sub-section
The Particles sub-section allows you to modify and configure the display settings for all the Particles and Particle Types in the simulation. You can expand this section to select individual particle types.
Log Scale Coloring
You can scale the coloring of particle attributes logarithmically for better color distribution. You can also change the coloring from linear to logarithmic and is available only for particle Mass and Volume.

Get Started with EDEM
The EDEM user interface comprises three icons for each simulation component - Creator, Simulator, and Analyst.
EDEM Creator
EDEM Creator is the pre-processor for creating an EDEM simulation model, including setting up equipment and defining the generation of bulk materials.
EDEM Simulator
EDEM Simulator is a powerful solver used for fast and efficient simulations.
EDEM Analyst
EDEM Analyst is the post-processor used to analyze and visualize the results of your simulation.
- Analyst Tree-Display
  Analyst Tree-Display allows you to configure the display of your model in the Viewer. You can visualize Cylindrical Periodic Boundary conditions from the Geometries section.
  - Display the Geometries Sub-section
    The Geometries subsection allows you to modify and configure the display settings for all the Geometries in the simulation alternatively. You can visualize Cylindrical Periodic Boundary conditions in the Geometries subsection.
  - Display the Particles Sub-section
    The Particles sub-section allows you to modify and configure the display settings for all the Particles and Particle Types in the simulation. You can expand this section to select individual particle types.
    - Log Scale Coloring
      You can scale the coloring of particle attributes logarithmically for better color distribution. You can also change the coloring from linear to logarithmic and is available only for particle Mass and Volume.
  - Display the Selections Sub-section
    The Selections sub-section shows the Geometry and Particle Selections. By default, selections are not available unless you have configured them using Setup Selections.
  - Display the Contact Sub-section
    The Contact sub-section allows you to independently examine the contacts between different types of particles and between particles and individual sections of Geometry. Y Particles can contact with other particle or equipment types.
- Analyst Tree-Setup Selections
  Analyst Tree-Selections allows you to extract data from a particular area or element in the domain.
- Analyst Tree-Tools
  Analyst Tree-Tools comprises the Ruler, Protractor, and Domain Grid.
- Analyst Tree-Clipping
  Analyst Tree-Clipping allows you to remove or clip areas of the model that are currently not of interest.
- Analyst Tree-Field
  Analyst Tree-Field allows you to define the way fields are displayed.
- Review Your Simulation
  EDEM Analyst allows you to review and examine your simulation.
- Export Data
  You can export the data collected during your simulation for analysis using queries. Data can be exported from a single Time Step, a range of Time Steps, from all elements in your model, or from a selection or bin group.
- Continuum Analysis
  Continuum Analysis allows you to view and analyze your simulation data as a Continuum instead of discrete particles.
- Perform Spray Coating Analysis
  The EDEM spray coating post-processing tools use a ray tracing approach that offer key advantages over the legacy Spray Coating model.
- Graphs
  EDEM Analyst allows you to plot the data collected during your simulation using a number of charts.

A Contact Model describes how elements behave when they come into contact with each other.
EDEM Cal Utility
EDEM Cal is a utility which works with EDEM and is designed to assist in performing calibration.

EDEMpy
EDEMpy is a Python library for accessing EDEM data from .h5 files (the underlying EDEM file format). EDEMpy does not require prior knowledge of advanced programming.

To use the Log Scale:

Select the particles from the Element dropdown list.
Select the Mass or Volume attribute and then select the Log Scale check box.
