Additive Manufacturing Mesh

Additive manufacturing is the process of binding the materials layer by layer to create three dimensional components.

This is used to discretize the components layer by layer.

It generates the tet mesh by default.

Create surface mesh only option is used to create the tri mesh.

Limitations

  • It supports the generation of layers only along the Z direction.

  • It does not support sheet bodies, non-enclosed bodies.
