Local Layered Mesh
This tool creates a layered mesh for the selected nodes along their normal direction. It is supported only for Tet mesh bodies.
Note: The quality of the resulting mesh depends on the
fineness of the surface mesh around the selected nodes.
Nodes
Select the surface nodes as input.
Total thickness
It specifies the overall thickness of the layered mesh to be created.
Number of layers
It defines the number of layers required along the thickness.
Grading factor
It controls the variation of the Tet mesh within the body from the surface to the interior. In bodies with a fine surface mesh, the transition from a fine mesh at the surface to a coarser mesh deeper inside is governed by the grade factor. The default grade factor is 1.2.
