Temperature-Viscosity Coupling

Analysis > Boundary Conditions > mu = f(T)

Introduction

This option is used to define parameters for properly modelling viscosity-temperature coupling. Using this option is only valid if the energy transport is enabled, otherwise the nanoFluidX code will return an error.

Model Types

Model according to which the viscosity will be calculated as a function of temperature.

  1. Polynomial
  2. Sutherland
  3. Power Law

It is important to note that when enabling the temperature-viscosity coupling, it is mandatory that all fluids in the simulation have their viscosities defined by one of the models. In this case, if one wishes a constant viscosity value, he needs to use the polynomial model and specify only Coefficient 1 and set others to zero.
