Solder

Electronics > Tools > Chip > Solder

This tool is used to create solder between chip components and PCB. Solders can be created by specifying the geometrical and mesh parameters based on the requirement. There will not be matching mesh between solder, chip, and PCB.

Geometrical Parameters

Geometrical parameters are used to define the shape of the solder.

Mesh Parameters

Mesh Parameters are used to define the number of elements in length, penetration and gap directions.

Example

Align the chip bodies to PCB w.r.t gap(L3)

It will check the gap between the chip and PCB. If it is not equal to the value given for L3, then the chip will be moved to maintain the gap L3 with the PCB.

Penetration fully covers underneath the chip

This option will create the solder which covers the gap underneath the chip.
