Position PCB Components
This tool helps you automatically reposition a detailed sub-model (or local model) within the global PCB model to enable seamless global-to-local mapping. The user needs to select one face from the sub-model and the corresponding face from the global model, the tool will transform the sub-model so that the centroids of the selected faces are aligned, effectively positioning the sub-model.
Input bodies
Select the bodies of detailed sub-model or local model to be repositioned.
Source face
Select the source face from the sub-model.
Target face
Select the target face from the global model.
Flip Input Bodies
The tool repositions the sub-model based on the normal direction of the selected target face. If the target face has an inverted normal, the input bodies may appear flipped or upside down. In such cases, this option allows you to correct the orientation by flipping the bodies appropriately.
