Mid Surface
Create Parasolid Mid Surface
This tool extracts mid surface from thin solid bodies. This is supported only for Parasolid models imported with “Save geometry in database” option enabled.
End faces are the faces of a solid body that define its thickness.
The ‘Show’ option automatically identifies end faces for user review and manual editing.
The ‘Discard’ option clears the selected end faces.
If the tool cannot identify end faces automatically, users can select them manually to generate the mid-surface.
Note:
- This tool will create a body group for bodies that failed to generate mid surface and bodies with partially generated mid surface.
- For partially generated mid surfaces, it also creates an edge group to highlight the boundaries of missing faces.
