Identify Duplicate

Geometry > Body > Identify Duplicate

This tool is used to identify the duplicate parts among the selected parts. Duplicate parts can be identified by comparing geometry or bounding box. This supports CAD as well as FEM body input.

  • Compare Geometry

    To find the geometrically matching bodies that appear to be exact duplicates.

    • Delete all duplicates but retain one

      Turn on this toggle to delete all the duplicate bodies and retain one body.

  • Compare Bounding box

    The bounding box of the selected bodies is compared to find the duplicates. On clicking OK, two groups will be created, "Master_Bodies" and "Duplicate_Bodies".

    Master_Bodies group will contain any one body from each duplicate pairs and the remaining bodies will be grouped as Duplicate_Bodies.

    Duplicate pairs identified will also be shown in Output Window.

    • Identify exact duplicates only

      Turn on this toggle to show only the parts that appear to be an exact duplicate of the other.

    • List Duplicates in Output List

      This is used to list the duplicate bodies in the Output List.
