Define Axis

Dialog Box

This option is used to define and modify an Axis.

Select

X axis, Y axis and Z axis defines the axis in the respective direction. The axis will be drawn at the center of the model.

2 Nodes: Pick two nodes to define the axis.

2 Vertices: Pick two vertices to define the axis.

Straight/Arc edge or Edge group: Pick a straight edge. The axis will be defined along the edge. If an arc edge is selected, the axis will be created at the center of the arc edge.

Cylindrical face or Face group: This option is used to create an axis at the center of the cylindrical face. The axis will be created along the axis of the cylindrical face.

3 Nodes: Pick three nodes. The axis will be created using the plane and the center of the arc formed by the 3 nodes.

Local coordinate axis: This option is used to define axis from any one of the axes (XYZ) of local coordinate system.

Reverse axis

Turning on this toggle will reverse the axis.

Offset

To node: The axis will be offset to the selected node.

To vertex: The axis will be offset to the selected vertex.

Arc center: The axis will be offset to the center of the arc edge.
