Simplify
This tool is used to simplify the BGAs with RBE’s and 1D elements. RBE’s are created at the top and bottom of the BGA and they are connected by the 1D elements. Bar/Beam properties will be assigned to the 1D elements automatically.
Bodies/Faces
Select the BGA bodies or faces to simplify. While selecting the faces user must make sure all the faces are selected including top/bottom faces.
Element Type
- Bar: It will assign bar properties to the 1D elements.
- Beam: It will assign beam properties to the 1D elements.
Cross section
- Uniform: All the 1D elements are assigned with the same property.
- Variable: Each 1D element is assigned with unique property.
Number of elements
Specify the desired number of 1D elements.
Create separate element for copper pad
Turning ON this option will create a separate 1D element for the copper pads.
