Use EDEM on a Remote Desktop

Generally, simulations are set up on Windows. However, the simulation is run on a Windows or Linux processing machine which is remotely located.

To use EDEM on a remote desktop:
  1. Set up a simulation on a local machine.
  2. Copy the simulation to a Windows or Linux machine and run in batch mode.
This process does not require the user interface. For more information about running EDEM in batch mode, see Run EDEM in Batch Mode.
  3. If you want to use the EDEM GUI to access Creator, Simulator, or Analyst when working on a remote computer, you can use the following two options: Windows Remote Desktop and VNC for Windows or Linux.
