  This section lists the EDEM file types, including Standard and Optional supported file types.

  It is challenging to estimate the exact real time required for a DEM simulation, as each simulation and each computer is different.

Calculate Characteristic Length

The Characteristic Length is the average length of each feature in the CAD file.

To calculate the Characteristic Length is calculated while importing the Geometry:

Specify the minimum and maximum length for the rigid body meshing as a multiple of the characteristic length which will allow the import settings to be associated with the specific Geometry being imported.
