createGroupsOfConnectedEntities

Overview

This utility is used to find and create groups for topologically connected faces from given input face group.

Syntax

OutputGroupNames=simlab.createGroupsOfConnectedEntities("GroupName")

User Case

• To create solid bolt from face group having all bolt hole faces.

Why we need this utility?

In the case of having all bolt holes in a single group, this script utility can be used to find and create group for each the individual bolt hole faces. Then these groups can be given as input for creating solid bolt.
