Model Checker
This tool identifies and cleans up errors in a FE model which otherwise will lead to errors during solver run. The model checker checks for errors as listed in the dialog.
To visualize the error, click on the error item in the dialog and it will highlight the error (nodes and elements) in the graphics window.
Checks: Free bar element
This check first identifies the bar elements whose end nodes are not attached through connectors such as
- RBE2
- RBE3
- Other connector elements such as springs, gap elements, rigid bars, etc.
If the end nodes of bar elements are not connected by connectors, then this checks to see if the end nodes have constraints or loads.
Bar elements with end nodes with no connectors or constraints or loads are marked as invalid and listed as failed bar elements.
