Create Iso Surfaces Using Contour Results
Iso plots can be based on the Contour results. There are two ways to do
this:
- Use the Sync with contour option in the legend
context menu:
Turning this option ON will create an iso plot based on the current contour plot settings and will update the iso plot every time the contour plot is updated. For example, if you change the contour to a different result type, the iso plot will automatically be re-created based on the new result type. Since the two plots are in sync, an iso-slider will appear on the contour legend to control the iso display. Additionally, if the contour plot is cleared, the iso plot will also be cleared.
- Manually apply contour settings to the iso plot using the following steps. In this case, the iso plot will not be updated if the contour plot is updated.
-
From the Plot tools, click the Iso tool.
-
From the Iso panel, click Use Contour Settings.
The settings on the Iso panel are changed to match the settings on the Contour panel (including the Value Filter settings).
-
Click Apply.
The model is displayed in iso value mode.
- Use the slider bar to display the value of interest.
